Zabrina is a mother of five children who has always lived her life holistically. She homeschooled all her children for most of their childhood and is still currently homeschooling her youngest child. Zabrina teaches math to elementary students on Thursdays as well as offers to tutor those in need. She is currently working toward her master’s degree in counseling with a focus on autism as well as multiple certificates in nutrition with the goal of being a certified nutrition counselor and life skills coach.

Zabrina was introduced to the world of childbirth after her first birth experience was not as beautiful and empowering as she had hoped for. In 2004 she trained with the Academy of Husband-Coached Childbirth to become a Bradley Childbirth teacher. Shortly thereafter she started working as a doula in conjunction with teaching classes. Zabrina’s desire to help mothers with body autonomy and empowered birth was drawing her to do more. She started training in the summer of 2013 alongside Pam to achieve her goal of becoming a midwife. She has worked with Pam ever since helping her to open The Birth Nest birth center in 2015. She has been blessed to catch babies in Massachusetts, Michigan, and Ohio as well as all over Arizona. Zabrina is happiest helping the Birth Nest Families have a family-centered, empowering birth where they feel loved, respected, heard, and fully cared for.
